The DANK Haus German American Cultural Center presents &ldquo Kabaret: Roaring 20&rsquo s Berlin, Paris and New York,&rdquo a fundraiser supporting the permanent collection.
The program features songs from 1920 to 1933 the years of Prohibition in the U. S., which only made people party on the sly, or transport their revelry to Berlin or Paris.
Attendees will enjoy early Kurt Weill, Marlene Dietrich, Gershwin and Cole Porter songs along with a smattering of Josephine Baker songs, and lots of jazz standards heard in the European capitals during the post World War I years.
Elizabeth Doyle shines on vocals and piano, Brian Patti plays sax, flute and clarinet and Rob Block is on piano and guitar.
Doors open at 8:00 pm.
Tickets are $50 each which include one glass of champagne and light appetizers.
All proceeds benefit the permanent collection at DANK Haus.
