Police Recover Cocaine in Executing Search Warrant

On Jan. 14, Evanston Police narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 700 block of Reba Place. Police recovered approximately 365 grams of cocaine both in powder form and rock, commonly referred to as “crack” cocaine, said Commander Jay Parrott of the Evanston Police Department. Police also seized over $15,000.

An Evanston man, 24, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Possession of a Controlled Substance, both class X felonies, said Commander Parrott.

The man was a convicted felon on parole, said the Commander. The Illinois Department of Corrections issued a parole violation warrant subsequent to this arrest, he said.
