Finding the Right Fit in Private Schools
By Peter Winslow

Evanston’s reputation for outstanding public schools has long been a draw for families looking to settle in this area. With 15 elementary and middle schools feeding into Evanston Township High School, the majority of Evanston school-age children attend public schools. But as is the case for most things, one size doesn’t necessarily fit all. When students are looking for an experience traditionally not found in the public schools, Evanston provides some excellent alternatives. I also loved all of the cool opportunities we were given in the arts, like doing an all-school show every year and having lots of outside
artists come in and do projects.”
