By Peggy Tarr
Some people vote for the powerful with no thoughts very deep, thinking power through association they’ll be able to reap. Others vote for candidates that are caught telling lies, but they’ll support them anyway when they know it’s not wise. Others vote by rote because it doesn’t take much thought, while others vote according to how they’ve been bought. I don’t understand what the disenfranchised think they’ll gain by voting to help elitist autocrats reign. Be informed when you vote on November six. Know that some candidates spew words that are tricks. I’m sure there’s a lot that’s needed to say to try to keep strange voting patterns at bay. But… “Hope springs eternal,” is the mantra I note when considering the masses that will probably vote. The right to vote is a right Americans should not lose, and states trying to deny this right have certainly made the news. Do vote on November 6th, that special Tuesday. Hopefully, for me it won’t be a Blues-day. My mantra I think I’ll often repeat while hoping the candidates I dislike will be beat.
