More Room: Eating Is Forever
Food, why do you love me so? Sadly, you go right to my heart—and my waistline. It’s not because you taste so good or I’m so hungry for you. No, sad to say, it has more to do with our love-hate, approach-avoidance, feast-or-famine relationship.

How Preserving the Harley Clarke Mansion Will Help the Community

Dear Evanston Community,

On behalf of my fellow board members and our hundreds of supporters, I am writing to express the continued enthusiasm of Evanston Lakehouse & Gardens (ELHG) to reach a lease agreement with the City for Harley Clarke so that ELHG can fulfill its mission to maximize its use for the benefit of the public, and to oppose demolition of this irreplaceable public asset.

More Room: In the Year 2118
Among the gregarious and hilarious regulars at the men’s locker room at the McGaw YMCA, where we regularly consider the wisdom and stupidity of the world, one recent conversation centered on an interesting question: what will life be like in 100 years?

Clarifications Regarding Evanston Lakehouse & Gardens and City of Evanston Negotiations
There has been a lot of activity in the press and social media following the City Council’s recent vote on April 9 to not continue negotiations with ELHG and not to accept the lease as presented on April 9.  In an effort to provide accurate and complete information to the community, our Partners, our supporters and our donors I am providing this statement and responding to some of the statements that have been made which I believe do not provide complete or accurate information.
