Seven persons have taken out nominating petitions for a position on the District 65 School Board, Pat Markham, secretary of the School Board told the RoundTable.
Andrew Pigozzi (an incumbent), Jerome Summers (an incumbent) and Tracy Quattrocki filed signed petitions with Ms. Markham on Jan. 20, the first day on which petitions could be filed. Jessica Clarke, Carolyn Laughlin and Tony Schlax have taken out petitions, but had not filed them with Ms. Markham by the time this paper went to press. The seventh person asked that his or her name be withheld.
Five persons have taken out nominating petitions for the District 202 School Board: Martha Burns (incumbent), Missy Fleming (incumbent), Rachel Hayman (incumbent), Deborah Graham and Gretchen Livingston. As of presstime, the RoundTable had no information about whether any candidates had filed petitions.
Voters will select four persons to fill open slots on each of the School District 65 and 202 School Boards in the April 7 election. The last day candidates may file nominating papers with the Board secretary is Jan. 26.
