The junior student council of Rhodes Magnet School recently organized a drive to support the Evanston Animal Shelter. The group distributed flyers to the school population listing items needed by the shelter. Additionally, they decorated a collection box and placed it in the school lobby to collect donations.

The event culminated with guest speaker Margo Scherberg, a volunteer from C.A.R.E., the animal-rescue effort at the animal shelter, who told the students about the shelter.
