The Heartwood Center,

has launched its 2009 Women and Cancer Program, which provides lower-income women with critical healing services. The program will run through to June of this year, making available all of Heartwood’s services free of charge to a number of participants. The program is funded through a grant from the state of Illinois. Each woman contacting Heartwood will go through a screening process then receive a treatment program tailored to her needs and utilizing  Heartwood’s staff. Participants in the 2009 Women and Cancer Program will not be charged for their treatment.
