Evmark, the marketing and management group for downtown Evanston, is working to create a new brand identity that will draw people to the downtown, reinforce the image of the downtown district as a destination and create a consistent look and feel for all marketing efforts.
After a nation-wide search for project proposals, the Evmark board hired the firm of Pressley Jacobs (PJ) to gather information from key individuals and specific groups of people through focus groups and online surveys. This research will then be used to create a brand message, logo, and brand applications for all marketing pieces.
“We are thrilled to begin this branding process for Downtown Evanston. A branding project is more than a logo – it defines the look and feel for a city that will be used for many years to come,” said Dan Kelch, Lulu’s owner and Evmark board president. “We are anxious to get started and are looking to Evanston stakeholders to provide valuable information that will help shape this project.”
PJ will be conducting focus groups in the format of an open forum for interested parties. Anyone interested in participating please contact Carolyn Dellutri at email@example.com. She also encourages everyone to use the online survey available at www.evmark.org.
