Again this year protesters who object to having tax money pay for war are planning a peaceful demonstration at the main post office, Oak Avenue at Davis Street, as last-minute tax-filers drop off their returns to meet the April 15 deadline.

Last year Rosalie Riegle coordinated the protest, and she the RoundTable that plans are in place to protest again this year. “Volunteers, complete with sandwich board signs, will be in front of the main post office distributing flyers from the War Resisters League,” Ms. Riegle told the RoundTable.

The WRL is entitled “Where Your Money Really Goes – 51% to War.” She and others who plan to protest ask readers to visit www.warresisters.org.
