Lincoln Elementary School

, 910 Forest Ave., presents “Journey to Ancient Greece,” a fine arts performance about Greek myths with music, art, costume creations incorporated into a spirited production by the school’s fourth- and fifth-grade students. Rhodes Magnet School
Rhodes Junior Student Council is hosting the annual family craft Fair at Rhodes Magnet School from to on May 13in the school gymnasium.  Students are invited to “purchase” a table from which they can sell their home-made crafts.  The JSC will also be running a concession stand during the event.  This year the focus has been on community service, and monies raised at the fair will be used to supply lunches for the homeless.  All are invited to attend the Craft Fair.  Call 847-859-8440 with any questions.



Teacher Appreciation Week

May 5 is National Teacher Day.  During Teacher Appreciation week, District 65 recognizes and honors all District staff.  Each staff member will receive a small gift and letter to express appreciation for all they do.  As stated in the Board of Education resolution for staff appreciation, District 65 formally recognizes the efforts of a staff committed to the philosophy that all students can learn, who support that philosophy by encouraging, motivating and inspiring students to achieve at their very best. The Board recognized staff for preparing students for a global perspective in our rapidly changing word and staying involved in solving the educational problems that lead to educational reform.  And, the Board also recognized staff or their active participation in the Evanston/Skokie School District 65 school community.
