The District 65 School Board approved the appointment of Jeffrey Brown as principal of King Lab Magnet School, Beatrice Davis as principal of Kinsley School and Katherine “Kate Ellison as Assistant Principal of Washington School.  

·        Jeffrey Brown, assistant principal at Chute Middle School since 2005, will begin his new assignment on July.  Mr. Brown has six years teaching experience and eight years as an assistant principal. He holds a Masters in Educational Leadership degree from National Louis University and is expected to receive his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Loyola University this summer. 


·        Beatrice Davis was appointed as the Kingsley Elementary School principal after holding the position on an interim basis for the past year.  Ms. Davis has two prior years of administrative experience and four as a primary grade teacher in District 65.  She holds a Masters in Education, Leadership and Supervision from National Louis University.


·        Katherine “Kate” Ellison was appointed as the Washington Elementary School Assistant Principal after holding the position on an interim basis for the past year. Ms. Ellison has six prior years with District 65, including five years as the Dewey School social worker.  Ms. Ellison holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership degree from the University of Illinois.
