The Ladd Arboretum went to the dogs on Saturday, as scores of dog-owners and dog-lovers participated in the annual Strut for Strays. Dogs led their people along the path between Bridge and Dempster streets. The Strut began and ended near the Rotary Garden in the Arboretum, where dogs could then polish their jumping, catching, fetching and other skills. Megan Lutz, spokesperson for the Community Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.) – the volunteer, rescue arm of the animal shelter – that sponsors the annual fundraiser, said results for this year were not available, but last year more than 200 people participated.
