On June 2, Saint Francis Hospital honored Lorraine H. Morton, recently retired mayor of the City, with its first annual C.A.R.E.S. award. The award honors one Evanston community member who has “exhibited the values of Saint Francis Hospital and Resurrection Health Care: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Service.” The selection committee, composed of the Saint Francis Hospital executive team and other leaders at Saint Francis Hospital, unanimously chose Ms. Morton for its first annual award. She recently retired from her 16-year tenure as Mayor of Evanston.
“We look to Lorraine as a heartfelt example of what it means to serve the community with dignity, grace, good humor and respect,” said Angelique Richard, vice president of Patient Care Services. In photo above, Ms. Morton
