Neither Bill Gilmore, owner of Bill’s Blues, nor any representative from Westwind Unlimited, Inc. (doing business as Bills Blues Club) showed up for a meeting of the Liquor Control Review Board on June 29.
The Board – composed of Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl (the liquor commissioner) and Board members Patrick Hughes and Marian Kelley – met to consider whether to suspend the liquor license for Bill’s Blues Club,
1029 Davis St. Two reasons were given for the proposed suspension of the liquor license: delinquent filing of liquor tax returns and serving alcohol to minors.
Mr. Gilmore did not answer calls from the City, made to ascertain whether he or a representative planned to attend the meeting. The commissioner and the Board decided to meet at a later date rather than take action then.
The meeting was subsequently rescheduled for July 2 at 4:30 p.m.
