The North End Mothers’ Club recently distributed more than $20,000 to nine Evanston charitable organizations. In keeping with the Club’s mission: “To promote and advance educational, charitable, civic, health and welfare activities in Evanston, and support and assist organizations dedicated to these purposes.”, the donations were given to organizations that focus on Evanston’s youth and community. Organizations that received donations include Evanston Fourth of July Association, ETHS After Midnight, School District 65 Kids and School Supplies (KASS), Evanston School Children Clothing Association (ESCCA), Infant Welfare Society, Evanston YWCA Women’s Shelter, McGaw YMCA, Keep Evanston Beautiful and the Child Care Center of Evanston. “The North End Mothers’ Club is pleased to be able to continue its long standing tradition of supporting the Evanston community” said Karin Ruetzel, the Club’s President.
