To mark its second successful season, the West End Market is holding Market Celebration Day on Saturday, Aug. 8, at its location at Church and Dodge.

Events include performances by local church choirs, other live entertainment and barbecued food by B & B Enterprises.

Held from 8:30 to 3 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 31, the West End Market now has more than a dozen vendors — produce

and non-food –, regular entertainment, bake sales and increased attendance. The Market’s presence at Church and Dodge has significantly enlivened and transformed the West End community.

The West End Market is a project of the Evanston Community Development Corporation (ECDC), a community-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to the revitalization of Evanston’s West Side. Its programs and services are designed to help residents and businesses build personal assets, grow and expand.
