Evanston police report that at about 4 p.m. on Sept. 14, a 10-year-old Oakton School student was approached by two Hispanic males driving an older model, two-tone gray-and-brown pickup truck as she was walking home in the 200 block of AsburyAvenue.
The students said the pickup truck slowed down and the passenger in this vehicle started talking to her, saying, “Hey, pretty girl,” which he repeated several times. The student, alarmed by these inappropriate comments, ran to her Grandmothers residence and reported this incident.
The passenger in the pickup truck is described as a male Hispanic 25 years of age, with dark hair styled in a ponytail, having an English/Spanish accent and wearing a blue shirt. The driver is described as a male Hispanic with dark hair and wearing a white tee shirt. The suspect vehicle is described as an older model two tone gray and brown pickup truck.
Two other incidents involving young girls being approached involved a male driving a light-blue van were reported earlier this week.
