The City of Evanston, along with the Chamber of Commerce, ComEd and Citizens for a Greener Evanston, are looking to help local businesses go green and save money in doing so by sponsoring a free breakfast presentation from to on Sept. 29 in the Parasol Room of the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center,2100 Ridge Avenue
The Evanston Chamber, City of Evanston, ComEd and Citizens for a Greener Evanston will present ideas about saving energy through both prescriptive purchases and through custom applications in the workplace.
Evanston is just one of 10 Illinois municipalities participating in ComEd’s Community Energy Challenge. ComEd has reserved $350,000 in their “Smart Ideas for Your Business” program for Evanston-based businesses and institutions to use. The program is designed to generate creative, locally-driven approaches to help Evanston meet its environmental sustainability objectives.
