Paul D’Agostino, superintendent of Parks/Forestry for the City and Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl help with the final touches of the playground.

Earlier this month, volunteers helped put the final landscaping touches  at Noah’s Playground for Everyone, adjacent to Lighthouse Beach. The playground, named in honor of Noah Cutter, who was born with multiple disabilities and who died at age 2 1/2.

The playground was rehabbed with a combination of City and private funds, rasied by Noah’s family and their friends.

As its name suggests, the playground is designed for all children. Accessible parking, sidewalks, and paths invite pedestrians and those in wheelchairs and strollers. A barrier- free ramp system allows any child – in a wheelchair or otherwise – to reach the playground’s highest points. Children in wheelchairs can play next to others in a suspended sandbox.
