Chip Fegert and Eusebio Montero, chefs at Mather Lifeways Retirement, are two of the eight finalists in the “Iron Chef” competition of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA).
The two will cook on the convention show floor for a group of judges representing some of Chicago’s finest restaurants at next month’s annual Meeting & Exposition at McCormick Place’s Lakeside Center in Chicago.
Each day, executive chefs from local retirement communities will race against the clock to create delicious dishes using a secret ingredient on the exhibit hall floor. Area chefs will judge their culinary creations and ultimately decide who will reign supreme as AAHSA’s “Iron Chef.”
