The League of Women Voters of Evanston will sponsor a program on Nov. 18, at 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Church of Evanston, 1330 Ridge Ave. to explain Cook County government and its budget. The program was prepared by the Cook County League of Women Voters.
The program explains the different county elected officials, the sources of budget revenues and major areas of expenses, and the impact of new oversight in the health and hospital system. The November discussion is timely in light of the upcoming primary elections in February.
The presenters are all members of the Board of the Cook County League. They will be led by Cynthia Schilsky, president of the Cook County League, and include Karen Hunt and Betty Hayford of Evanston.

There is no charge to attend this meeting.
