The Evanston Art Center is proud to present the seventh annual Winter Arts and Crafts Expo.
Winter Expo features one-of-a-kind pieces of work by over 100 selected artisans. Arts and crafts offered include original, handmade works of jewelry, ceramics, fiber, metal, glass, painting, photography, mixed-media, and more. All proceeds from the Expo will benefit the ongoing exhibition, education, and outreach programs at the EAC. The Winter Expo is the perfect opportunity for families to shop for everyone on their holiday gift list.
Winter Expo will be held from Nov. 21st – Dec. 22nd, 2009 at the EAC, and is sponsored by Whole Foods Evanston South, Blick Art Supply and First Community Bank and Trust. A Winter Expo preview party for patrons to shop before the public and a silent auction featuring art works donated by participating Expo artists will be held Nov. 20 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Tickets to this event cost $30 for early registration and $35 at the door. The Expo also includes a non-juried, adult student sale from Saturday, Dec. 5 – Dec. 13. A non-profit organization, the Evanston Art Center is one of the largest community art centers in Illinois. For the past 80 years, the EAC has been dedicated to fostering the appreciation and expression of the visual arts among the diverse audience of the Greater Chicago/North Shore region, striving to make the art of our time an accessible and integral part of the life of the community.
The Evanston Art Center is located at 2603 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL. Limited, free parking is available. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, 10am-10pm; Saturday, 10am-4pm; Sunday, 1-8pm.
