Saint Francis Hospital is seeking framed artwork in new or gently used condition for its newly renovated 4th floor. Local artists, budding artists, art galleries, arts organizations, schools, and individuals who have original or print artwork to donate to the non-profit, Level I Trauma Center in Evanston are encouraged to contact Margo Schafer, Public Relations Director at 847-316-4000.

Saint Francis Hospital opened its renovated 4th floor to better serve its patients and their loved ones. The new wing features 16 private rooms and 21 semi-private rooms.

The hospital has chosen to feature works from artists in Evanston and the surrounding areas to underscore its commitment to the community. All original artwork from local artists will feature the artist’s name and biography. Donated framed non-original prints by national artists will also be accepted.

“The 4th floor renovation is another advancement in the quality of patient care at Saint Francis.  We want local artwork and prints to lift the spirits of our patients and their family members,” says Angelique Richard, Vice President of Patient Care Services at Saint Francis Hospital.  “I can think of no better way to do that then by surrounding them with beautiful art from local artists.”

“We are calling on the talent and generosity of the people of Evanston. This is their hospital and we want it to reflect them.  I am hoping we receive donations from many artists within the community,” said  Margo Schafer, Director of Public Relations, Saint Francis Hospital.

St. Francis said in a prepared statement that all donations are tax-deductible. Interested donors should contact Margo Schafer, Director of Public Relations, Saint Francis Hospital, at 847-316-4000.
