The City of Evanston is soliciting residents’ input about recommendations to balance the upcoming budget. Participants at the Nov. 30 community budget workshop compiled a list of recommendations to help balance the City of Evanston’s 2010-11 budget. These recommendations are posted on line at www.cityofevanston.org. Residents can click on “Participate in the Budget Process Online” to vote for their preferred five recommendations.
Voting ends at midnight on Dec. 6. The results will be posted on the website after the survey closes and presented to the Evanston City Council for consideration during the budget process.
Additionally, the City of Evanston’s recent budget workshops will be rebroadcast on Channel 16 as a Community Budget Workshop Marathon Weekend, from noon on Dec. 4 through 6 p.m. on Dec. 6. From 6 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 6 there will be a one-hour live call-in show at which City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz and Assistant City Manager Marty Lyons will be on air to answer residents’ City budget questions. The call-in number is 847-869-0755 for City of Evanston budget related questions.
