A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant

The Next Theatre Company, Chicago’s destination for socially provocative, artistically adventurous work, has added a special holiday offering to its 29th season with the first North Shore production of A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant. The musical satire will star eight talented youngsters from the area, filling the roles of L. Ron Hubbard, Tom Cruise, Prince Xenu and many more. Recent Northwestern MFA graduate Katy Walsh helms the production and musical direction is provided by Jeremy Ramey.

Artistic director Jason Southerland expresses delight at this opportunity to reunite with his frequent artistic collaborator and friend, Kyle Jarrow, to present this holiday comedy in a revised production. This updated version features four additional musical numbers and several new scenes and characters.
