A man was found dead in the driver’s seat of a car parked on Fowler Avenue, just north of Main Street at about 10:55 p.m. on Jan. 14, said Commander James Pickett of the Evanston Police Department in a prepared statement. A window of the car was broken, and the man had an apparent gunshot wound to the head, said the Commander. The man was a 27-year old Skokie resident, said the Commander.

Evanston police notified the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force, which responded to assist in the investigation. There is no further information available at this time, said Commander Pickett.
