Toni Irving, Ph.D., deputy chief of staff for Governor Pat Quinn and Chair, State of Illinois Human Services Commission, will be the keynote speaker at St. Francis Hospital’s annual tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., on Monday, Jan. 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the hospital’s auditorium.  The tribute is free and open to the public.  Saint Francis Hospital is located at 355 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, IL.

 The annual event, sponsored by the hospital’s Diversity Committee, will celebrate the life and work of Dr. King.  Past speakers have included the Connie Payton, wife of the late legendary football great, Walter Payton; Chicago Public Health Commissioner Terry  Mason; Honorable Lorraine H. Morton, Evanston’s former mayor; and Dr. Hardy Murphy, the Superintendent of Schools in Evanston.
