On Jan. 23, 19 enthusiastic students of Fonseca Martial Arts (FMA) studio in Evanston spent their Saturday afternoon participating in a Kickathon to raise funds for Hope for the Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping wounded and fallen soldiers and their families.

The students collected pledges for their kicks and completed a grand total of 39,466 kicks. There was a great sense of camaraderie and spirit among the adults and children kickers as they encouraged each other for two hours of intense effort.
