This Pulitzer Prize-winning drama tells the story of an African-American family living on Chicago’s South Side in the 1950s.  Elijah portrays Travis Younger, the pride and joy of his family and their hope for the future.

Elijah has been acting since he was 5 and has appeared with both the Northlight Theater Academy and Evanston’s Mudlark Theater Company. As a member of the “Raisin” cast, Elijah had to balance schoolwork with two or three rehearsals a week at the Merle Ruskin Theater.

Besides acting, Elijah is a Chicago Area Problem Solver. This competitive program encourages teamwork and creativity in helping students become lifelong learners and productive citizens. In addition, Elijah plays EBSA baseball and plays trumpet in the District 65 fifth-grade Honors Band.
