On Feb. 25, at 6:40 a.m., members of the Evanston Police Department’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team – (N.E.T.), executed a narcotics search warrant, targeting the basement apartment of 1107 South Blvd., said Commander Tom Guenther, Public Information Officer of the Evanston Police Department, in a prepared statement. During a search of the residence, police recovered 3.4 lbs. of cannabis, having an estimated street value of $14,000, said the Commander. 

The police began their investigation after receiving information from the public regarding street level drug sales taking place in the vicinity of Oakton School, said the Commander. The investigation by the Evanston Police Department’s Problem Solving Team – (P.S.T.) and N.E.T. resulted in the execution of the search warrant, said the Commander. 

The occupant of the residence, a 29-year old man, was charged with felonies, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
