A 29-year old woman who is listed as the occupant of an apartment at 1812 Darrow Avenue, Apt. 1N, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possession of firearm ammunition without the requisite firearm owners identification card, said Commander Tom Guenther, public information officer of the Evanston Police Department in a prepared statement. 

Cmdr. Guenther said the Evanston Police Department’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team, conducted a narcotics raid at the apartment on March 31, as part of a continuing coordinated citywide effort, targeting various levels of narcotics sales throughout Evanston. 

Once making entry into apartment, Evanston police officers secured the scene and began to identify all occupants, said the Commander. Police, with the assistance of a K-9 dog then conducted a systematic search of the apartment. During this search, officers recovered crack cocaine, five 12 gage shotgun shells, forty .357 handgun rounds and twenty-five .327 handgun rounds, said the Commander.
