Presbyterian Homes, in conjunction with the Evanston Symphony Orchestra, will host Musical Insights, a free lecture/recital program open to public on Friday, April 30 starting at 1:30 Presbyterian Homes, 3200 Grant Street, Evanston. 

The program features a presentation by Lawrence Eckerling, Music Director of the ESO, David Ellis, the ESO’s General Manager, and Irina Muresanu, violin soloist for the upcoming ESO concert on Sunday, May 2, at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall in Evanston starting at 2:30 pm. 

The program lasts about an hour and concludes with a question-and-answer session and free refreshments. 

Founded in 1945, the Evanston Symphony offers five concerts a year with a mission to provide community members of all ages with convenient, affordable opportunities to perform and hear fine classical music from locally, nationally and internationally renowned artists. Its most recent honor is being named “Community Orchestra of the Year” for 2010 by the Illinois Council of Orchestras.
