Pivot Point International is sponsoring its fourth Cut-A-Thon from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on May 19 to raise money for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The event will be held at Pivot Point’s Evanston campus,1560 Sherman Ave.
Last year Pivot Point Academies and other cosmetology schools and salons raised $100,000 thanks to the efforts of students, faculty and staff at close to 100 locations across the country.
Overall, Pivot Point has raised nearly $1 million for the center. In addition to raising money for the center, Pivot Point will once again partner with the National Cosmetology Association (NCA) and its Cut-It-Out program in their efforts to end domestic violence. Through this partnership, Pivot Point Academies will sell Cut-A-Thon Certificates, that will be donated to local shelters for their residents to redeem for services throughout the coming year. All money raised through the sale of these certificates will be donated to the NCMEC.
