The Evanston Recreation Division and Wateriders are offering kayak tours of Evanston with a closer look at the City’s history and architecture from the lake. The program includes a look at Evanston’s lakefront and how Daniel Burnham’s Evanston-based visions influenced the area. Stops on the tour include the wreck of the George Morley, the Grosse Point Lighthouse and the Baha’i House of Worship (Temple) in Wilmette.
Trips are planned for June 18, July 23, and Aug. 12 at 6-7:45 p.m. beginning from the Dempster Street Beach Office. No experience necessary, but children 10-14 must be accompanied by an adult.
