The storms that blew through the Chicago area on June 18 knocked out power to many customers and downed trees and branches in several parts of the City. While electric power was restored to many homes on Friday evening, the City of Evanston reports on its website that as of 8:30 a.m. on June 19, 904 Evanston customers were still out of service. According to the City, “ComEd is telling customers that it will likely take days to restore power everywhere.  There is no timeframe for restoration of power to remaining customers in Evanston.”
