The North End Mothers’ Club recently distributed $27,000 to twelve Evanston charitable organizations. In keeping with the Club’s mission: “To promote and advance educational, charitable, civic, health and welfare activities in Evanston, and support and assist organizations dedicated to these purposes.”, the donations were given to organizations that focus on Evanston’s youth. Organizations that received donations include The Evanston 4th of July Association, McGaw YMCA, Infant Welfare Society, YWCA Evanston/North Shore Women’s Shelter, Childcare Center of Evanston, Keep Evanston Beautiful, ETHS After Midnight, Kids and School Supplies (KASS), Evanston School Children’s Clothing Association, Evanston Public Library Friends, TED Fund and Evanston In School Music Association. “The North End Mothers’ Club is pleased to be able to continue its long standing tradition of supporting the Evanston community” said Susan Roche, North End Mothers’ Club Policy Chairperson.
