The Evanston Public Library Friends will host a book sale on July 15 through July 18 to raise money to support neighborhood library services. The event will be held at 2112 Central Street, and will feature a wide variety of books, CDs, DVDs, and records. July 15 will be a sneak-peek presale from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  EPLF members may attend the presale for free, and others may enter for $25. Entrance all other days is free for everyone. Sale hours on Friday are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We have an incredible selection of books and music that have already been donated,” said Mary Lou Smith, the book sale’s coordinator, “There is truly something for everyone.”

“While we’ve reached the Council’s $160,000 mandate to continue branch library services for six more months, the EPL Friends target has always been $200,000 by August 1,” said EPL Friends’ President, Emily Guthrie. “We hope the book sale will get us there.” To volunteer, or for general questions, e-mail and for more information about the book sale, please visit
