The City held its second annual sandcastle-building contest on July 19 at Clark Street Beach. While rain threatened and a few drops mottled the sand, the sandcastle builders, undaunted, built intricate, massive, creative and fun sandcastles. First place in the architecture/engineering class went to the Rotter family, who won in that category last year. The Macek family won for the most massive sandcastle, and the Komorowaski family won for the most creative castle.
