The Evanston/Skokie School District 65 2010-11 school year begins on Monday, Aug. 30 when all District 65 students return for a full day of attendance.

District 65 is among the almost 500 schools participating in the sixth annual Million Father March organized by the Black Star Project.  Families will receive information from their schools encouraging fathers, grandfathers, foster fathers, stepfathers, uncles, cousins, big brothers, significant male caregivers and friends of the family to walk their child to school on the first day to participate in the Million Father March. This show support for their child’s education can be important to the child’s success in school.    School start times are listed on the web at http://www.district65.net/parentsandstudents/Bell_Schedules

Registration information:  Families of students new to the district and those entering pre-k, kindergarten, grade three, and grade six are required to register in person and provide proof of residency.  Registration takes place at the JEH Education Center, 1500 McDaniel Avenue, Evanston.  Information about other student registration requirements is available on the District 65 website at http://www.district65.net/parentsandstudents/registration
