Piccolo Theatre announces the lineup for their 2010-11 10th anniversary season. Piccolo artistic director John Szostek remounts two comic productions that inspired Piccolo Theatre to form as an ensemble.
The American premiere of “Low Pay? Don’t Pay!” will preview Sept. 3-5 and run Sept. 10 – Oct. 23. Written by Dario Fo, edited by Franca Rame and translated by Joseph Farrell, this production is directed by John Szostek. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Ensemble members Glenn Proud and Brianna Sloane return with a new holiday panto, a seven-year Piccolo tradition. This year’s production, written by Jessica Miller, with music by Tyler Beattie, is “Robin Hood – A Holiday Panto.” Previews run Nov. 12-14; shows run Nov. 19 through Dec. 18. Show times are Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
“Servant of Two Masters,” written by Carlo Goldoni and directed by John Szostek, will start off the new year. Previews will run Feb. 18-20, 2011, and shows Feb. 25 – April 2. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
