ETHS’s football team prevailed in a see-saw battle that was decided in the final minutes after eight lead changes on Sept. 3. Evanston’s wideout James Brown, who played with a heavy heart after losing his father to cancer earlier in the week, scored three touchdowns including the game winner late in the fourth quarter. Evanston held off a furious comeback attempt by the Vikings in the final moments to log their first win of the season.
The Kits play a revenge game this upcoming weekend against the Niles North Vikings whose victory over the Kits last season likely cost them a playoff berth.
