The Evanston School Children’s Clothing Association (ESCCA) provides school clothing for all Evanston/Skokie District 65 K-8th grade school children in need. Each year ESCA provides a full wardrobe of clothing and shoes to 500-600 children. Its clothing assistance services are performed efficiently and discreetly and always keep the dignity of the families in mind.

DONATIONS OF WINTER OUTERWEAR ARE NEEDED! ESCA needs warm jackets, coats and snowpants in all sizes. Its inventory in large sizes, especially 14-18, is especially low. Please consider donating gently used coats and snowpants.  Drop off at a District 65 school or at the ESCCA bin behind Dist. 65 administration building, 1500 McDaniel, Evanston.

PUMPKIN PATCH SALE: Saturday, October 9, 2010, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A benefit for ESCCA sponsored by Coldwell Banker. The sale is held in Coldwell Banker’s parking lot at 2929 Central Street across the street from Hartigan’s Ice Cream Shoppe! NEW TRIER TOWNSHIP MAKE-A-DIFFERENCE DAY: Saturday, October 23th, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ESCCA is a beneficiary of this event, in which community members donate items to a number of local groups. ESCA requests volunteers with larger vehicles (SUV, van) to work a 1-2 hour shift between 9 a.m. -12 p.m. Volunteers’ cars will be loaded with winter outerwear donated to ESCCA. The volunteers will be asked to then drive from Winnetka to the ESCCA Clothing Center in Evanston, where volunteers will help unload the clothing.
