The North Shore Harmonizers will present “A Bunch of Broadway…and A Little Jazz” in concert at 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 at the Music Institute of Chicago, 1490 Chicago Ave.
Entertaining the North Shore for more than 50 years, this independent women’s barbershop chorus will harmonize a cappella to songs from Broadway shows such as “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Mama Mia,” “Cats,” “My Fair Lady” and more. The barbershop standard “Lida Rose” from The Music Man will couple the Harmonizers with acclaimed Chicago favorite Bradford Newquist.
In addition, the concert will include The Milwaukee Connection, a high-voltage jazz quintet featuring formidable swing clarinetist and Evanston resident John Blegen.
Tickets for the North Shore Harmonizers concert are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and children under 12 are free.
