Historian Janet Messenger will reveal the stories, curious facts, and fascinating tales of the routes in Evanston at a presentation at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 at the Evanston History Center, 225 Greenwood St. Ms. Messenger has been researching Evanston history for years and writing about it since 2001, when she began a monthly column in the Evanston RoundTable called “Once Upon a Time in Evanston.” A book-signing will follow the presentation. Copies of “The Streets of Evanston” will be available for purchase at the event.
