Mathnasium Learning Center, an international franchise offering math-only, after-school educational programs, has opened its first Chicago-area location in Evanston/Skokie. This new center provides a setting for grade-school students to develop needed math skills and to build confidence in their math-related abilities.
“Mathnasium curriculum has been designed to provide a challenging, engaging and dynamic learning experience that costs a fraction of the cost of private tutoring,” said Peter Markovitz, Mathnasium founder and president. “Mathnasium was created to give all students an opportunity to dramatically increase their test scores, while developing the broad-based reasoning skills that are critical to ongoing academic success.”
“Transforming children into powerful mathematicians is entirely doable,” said Berish Cardash, owner of the new Evanston/Skokie Mathnasium Center. “It takes a skillful combination of the right method, the right curriculum and qualified teachers to make math fun and accessible to students. We are thrilled to bring that recipe for success to the Chicago area.”
The Skokie Mathnasium center is located at 3453 N. Dempster, and can be reached at 847-677-MATH (6284) or Skokie@mathnasium.com. Once enrolled, children can attend the center’s after-school programs at least twice a week, for a monthly fee.
