PEER Services is turning back the hands of time with “Feel the Groove: Taking You Back to the 70s,” a benefit honoring the not-for-profit organization’s roots in the community and successful history or responding to local substance abuse prevention and treatment needs.

From 7 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 16, PEER Services (Prevention, Education, Evaluation, Recovery) will celebrate its 35-year history at the Hilton Garden Inn with a 70s dance party. In addition to dancing and taking a trip down music history’s memory lane, guests will test their memories with trivia questions from the decade and show off their bidding skills in the live and silent auctions. Guests who have barely changed, as well as those who are happy that they got over the hairstyles of the 70s, are all encouraged to submit photos of themselves from the 70s to be included in the evening’s memory montage. Guests who never got over having to pack away their polyester suits and platform shoes are encouraged to don their favorite 70s attire for the evening, knowing that there may not be another opportunity to wear those treasures out in public again for a long time to come.

More information about PEER Services is available by contacting Katina Hamilton or Kate Mahoney, 847-492-1778.
