Canamac Productions presents the world premiere courtroom drama “Defamation” by Evanstonian Todd Logan in a limited run at three Evanston houses of worship.

Race, class, and religion collide when a Southside Chicago African American businesswoman sues a Jewish North shore real estate developer. At the production’s end, the audience becomes the jury.

The show will run about 90 minutes without intermission, and is for ages 14 and up. 

The play will be shown at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 31 at Sherman United Methodist Church, 2214 Ridge Ave.; at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 and Nov. 5 at the Unitarian Church of Evanston, 1330 Ridge Ave.; and at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 and 3 p.m. on Nov. 7 at Beth Emet, The Free Synagogue, 1224 Dempster St.
