YSTEP and Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre are collaborating with the City of Evanston’s Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, the Levy Senior Center and the McGaw YMCA to present an intergenerational program for middle school and high school students and senior citizens.

Together they will work in partnership on an original one-act play conceived, developed and performed by the students and seniors under the guidance and direction of YSTEP’s artistic leadership. YSTEP’s mission is to strengthen the community by bridging the gap between the younger and older generations through theatre, communication and mutual respect.

YSTEP is seeking enthusiastic participants who can attend ten 90-minute sessions from 5 to 6:30 p.m. over a five-week period, two days per week. Levy  Center’s program will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Oct. 19, and Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center’s program will be on Wednesdays and Fridays, beginning Oct. 20.
