Chiro One Wellness Centers is hosting its 5th Annual ‘Share the Abundance’ Food Drive to collect non-perishable food items to be given to Feeding Illinois to help feed the hungry this holiday season. Beginning Nov. 1 and continuing through Nov. 21, persons may donate non-perishable food items at a nearby Chiro One.
“Last year, we collected over 10,000 pounds of food and this year we want to increase that number to 15,000 pounds,” states Cynthia Barron, Director of Community Outreach, Chiro One Wellness Centers. “We are asking the public to help us help others by bringing in a non-perishable food item in November.”
Suggested items to contribute include: canned chicken, tuna, canned fruit and vegetables, dried or canned beans, fruit juice, jelly, macaroni and cheese, pasta, peanut butter, rice, and whole grain cereal.
